Cystic acne?

About 3 weeks ago what seemed to be a pimple appeared on the side of my face and it has grown to what seems to be cystic pimple. The rest of my face is okay, with a few minor blemishes. I am going to away in a few days and will be the sun for a great amount of time. Does anyone know if sun exposure will worsen this cystic pimple? Also, if someone could please let me know of any ways to treat it(it does not seem to be getting any better)?

i get those a lot…for me the sun seems to actually help them but idk still use sunscreen and stuff…if it hurts try icing it a little to relieve the swelling and make it a little less visible

wear an oil free sunscreen, best by NEUTROGENA! ALSO DONT TOUCH IT YOU MIGHT MAKE IT WORSE!

I had a boyfriend with this once, and he had to have it drained by a doctor. I wouldn’t waste any time trying to treat it yourself; I’d make an appointment.

what are you eating (ie whole foods diet)?
what exercise are you getting daily for an hour?
what relaxation techniques are you practicing for 20 minutes twice a day?

you take care of these 3 areas ALL acne will disappear assuming that you are washing your face at least twice a day.

use some salisistic acid. i’m sure the spelling is wrong but that works for my friend who has the samething

Sun can really irritate acne, and a cystic pimple is unlikely to get better on it’s own. If you can afford it, go straight to the dermatologist to get it drained–it’s just going to get bigger and harder. If you can’t do that, you can try salicylic acid to help it get to the surface.

Acne can be embarrassing at the best of times. I would try going into a site called Epinions.com and find out what users are saying about various products. Good hygene which involves regular bathing helps a lot. Good internal health is a major contributor to healthy skin. Try and stay away from the junk foods. I’ve also had good luck with a product called Acnezine. Good luck:>:>
